Trusted Data. Reliable AI. What Informatica 2025 Signaled for the Next 25 Years
Last week, I had the privilege of attending Informatica World 2025 in Las Vegas, a landmark edition of the event that marked not just another year, but a significant milestone: the 25th anniversary of Informatica World.
As Amit Walia, CEO of Informatica, highlighted in his keynote, 2025 is more than just a calendar year; it’s a turning point.
Personally, I think it also marks 25 years in the world of data and AI. A journey that began with mastering the extract, data, load (ETL) process and data warehousing is now transformed by cloud, generative AI, and automation.
The event offered a powerful reminder of Informatica’s staying power in a volatile market. According to Yahoo Finance1, 52% of Fortune 500 companies have disappeared over the past two decades.
Back in 2000, Informatica dominated the early ETL and data warehousing landscape. While hundreds of platforms have come and gone since then, Informatica has endured. Why? A relentless focus on client-centric innovation, ecosystem partnerships, and long-term relevance.
Today, as enterprises prepare for large-scale AI and GenAI adoption, Informatica has become a trusted transformation engine.
From its ETL roots to its position today as a pioneer in intelligent data management, Informatica’s evolution reflects the journey every enterprise is making, from data to insight, and now from insight to action.
With trusted data at the center, Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) gives business teams the speed, scale, and intelligence to act faster and smarter.
Its cloud-native platform now powers all 4Vs of modern data:
- Volume: Scaling from gigabytes to petabytes.
- Velocity: From batch pipelines to real-time streaming.
- Variety: Supporting structured, unstructured, and semi-structured formats.
- Value: Turning trusted data into business outcomes.
Much of Informatica World 2025 focused on scaling AI responsibly, and it all converged around CLAIRE, the business-aware layer of the Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC). With new capabilities that blend automation, language intelligence, and embedded AI, CLAIRE is moving from intelligent assistance to agentic execution.
Here are five announcements that stood out, not just for what they enable, but for what they signal: the rise of AI-native data management:
- CLAIRE agents: The rise of autonomous data operations
Informatica is moving beyond recommendations into action. New agentic workloads, such as data quality agents, data discovery agents, and data ingestion agents, bring automation directly into day-to-day operations.
- CLAIRE Copilot & CLAIRE GPT: Natural language meets data ops
These tools drastically reduce time-to-value by letting users build, tune, and fix pipelines using GenAI-powered natural language prompts. For non-technical users, CLAIRE GPT unlocks access to data insights with zero-code confidence.
- AI-powered match tuning and rule recommendations: MDM gets smarter
Probabilistic matching has always required manual tuning, especially during events like mergers. This new AI model recommends match rules based on context, simplifying what was once an expert-only task.
- Strategic agreement with Microsoft 2: IDMC + Fabric = Full-stack AI
The announcement made during Informatica World is poised to combine Informatica’s Intelligent Data Management Cloud™ platform with key Microsoft services, including Microsoft Fabric and Microsoft Azure. This move is significant; while Azure has advantages in storage and computing, the critical data management tasks can be performed by IDMC.
- NVIDIA Partnership: Enabling AI Agents at Enterprise Scale 3
By integrating with NVIDIA AI Enterprise, Informatica is powering next-gen AI agents, opening up pathways for enterprise-grade AI pipelines, more intelligent automation, and accelerated time-to-insight.
LTIMindtree at Informatica World 2025: Trusted Data, Reliable AI
As Gold Sponsor and Informatica’s 2024 Global Innovation Partner of the Year, LTIMindtree proudly represented the theme Trusted Data. Reliable AI. at Informatica World 2025.
From deep customer conversations to partner strategy sessions, we focused on one question: How do we turn data into intelligent, AI-ready outcomes, responsibly and at scale?
One standout moment was the unveiling of our exclusive coffee table book:
101 Customer Success Stories on Informatica IDMC Powered by LTIMindtree, presented at our booth by Informatica CEO Amit Walia and CXO leaders.
The collection captured real-world stories of transformation where trusted data became a competitive edge.
We also hosted two packed speaker sessions, each offering a clear blueprint for transformation:
- Modernization matchmaker: Transforming IDMC with LTIMindtree IRX
This session tackled one of the biggest challenges in data modernization: moving fast without breaking things. We demonstrated how LTIMindtree IRX helps enterprises shift from legacy platforms to IDMC, delivering faster AI readiness with zero disruption. - Making the perfect match: Modern MDM for AI-ready data
Trusted data is the matchmaker AI needs. We shared how Informatica’s MDM SaaS, paired with LTIMindtree’s industry accelerators, helps organizations govern, connect, and scale data pipelines across business domains.
Final thoughts: The road ahead
The takeaway from Informatica World 2025 was clear:
Data is no longer a passive asset; it’s a value multiplier.
In a world where AI adoption is accelerating, the ability to manage and activate intelligently, ethically, and at scale will define tomorrow’s leaders.
This wasn’t just an event celebrating the past 25 years. It was a forward-looking blueprint, showing how every enterprise, across industries, can build an AI-native foundation on trusted data.
At LTIMindtree, we’re proud to partner with Informatica in shaping this future, empowering businesses to turn Trusted Data and Reliable AI into tangible, measurable outcomes.
